This standard has been prepared by NA 087-04-12 AA. The preparation of this standard had become necessary in the context of the development of DIN 5510-2.

The definition of the burner with slot attachment from the withdrawn E DIN 50051-2: 1991-01 has been included in this standard.

3 Brief description of the procedure

In a firebox according to DIN 50050-2, a vertically arranged specimen is exposed to the flame of a gas burner with slot attachment according to 4.1. In the process, the length of the specimen destroyed by the fire, the duration of afterburning, the smoke development and the dripping behavior are determined.

5 Sampling and Sample Preparation

5.1 Sampling 制样

From plate-shaped products, specimens measuring 190 mm × 500 mm are to be taken. The thickness must correspond to the product thickness.

If specimens with the above dimensions can not be removed from the products, test specimen production and dimensions are to be agreed as well as for small components and component sections, as far as no special specifications have been made in E DIN 5510-2.

5.2 Sample preparation 样品预处理

The samples are stored before the test to constant mass, but at least 48 hours in the normal climate DIN 50014 - 23 / 50-2. If air conditioning is performed under other conditions, this must be stated in the test report.

6.1 Setting conditions

The firebox according to DIN 50050-2 must be operated in a room with 15 ° C to 35 ° C room temperature. 房间室温15C-35C。

6.2 Measurement

In each case 5 similar specimens are to be tested. 测试5个样品。

The burner flame must be ignited before the start of the experiment and the burner pushed smoothly against the test specimen as shown in Fig. A.4. 测试前燃烧器就点火。

7 evaluation 评估

The destroyed length of each individual test piece shall be determined mathematically rounded to the nearest centimeter. It is the greatest length between the lower and upper limits of the burned or charred sample area on the surface or inside. Smelting is also considered a destroyed area.

8 Checking the settings

8.1 Gas flow

The gas flow is to be measured continuously with a mass or volume flow meter.

8.2 Flow velocity in the exhaust pipe

For checking the dynamic pressure measuring probe for measuring the flow velocity in the combustion chamber exhaust pipe according to DIN50050-2, comparative measurements must be carried out with measuring instruments of the same quality class.

Test process reference

For the first test on the day, first debug the flame to ensure that the gas flow rate is 0.5 ml/min and the pressure is 0.1 MPa.

Calibrate the smoke sensor and adjust 100% and 0%.

Install the sample to ensure a 45 degree burner and sample spacing of 30mm. (Standard type fixture!?)

First adjust the wind speed, adjust to 3.25m / s, in the range of 3.0-3.5m / s.

Determine the temperature, less than 35 degrees (temporarily the duct temperature).

Start the test, start the manual button and then turn off the electronic ignition. (You can also start with the software).
